WILL State of North Carolina County of Onslow Will Book 1 Know ye that I Robert Dosson of the county & state aforesaid being weak in body but sound in perfect memory calling to mind the certainty of death do make & constitute this to be my last will and testament. First of all, I resign my soul to Almighty God and my body to its mother dust. Secondly, My will & desire is that all my just debts and burial charges to be paid. Then, I give and devise to my son Britton Dosson one tract my land beginning at the mouth of a small branch called spring branch running up said branch to Williams line. I give & devise to my son Hosea Dawson from the said spring branch the tract lying upward. Also the tract lying below the said spring branch to my son Britton Dosson. I give to my son in law Abraham Koonce five shillings sterling money. I give & (illegible) all my cattle, & hogs, & horses, also I leave(?) all my household furniture & plantation tools & every thing that I possess to be divided equally with my wife & children. Now I make and appoint my son John Dosson (Dawson?) and my (word omitted) Robert Dosson to be my executors to this my last will and testament in (illegible) I have hereunto set my hand and (illegible) my seal this 23rd of October 1827.
