I give unto my son Jonathan Hawkins all of my land lying on the west side of the road before mentioned also one half of (illegible) Island with the marsh opposite of his land if as provided he pays over to my son Bazel Hawkins six hundred dollars. If he doth not see cause to pay the above-mentioned sum of six hundred to my son Bazel Hawkins, I leave the land to be equally divided between them Bazel Hawkins & Jonathan Hawkins. It is my will & desire that all the remaining part of my property not before mentioned to be sold at six months credit by my Executors & the amt. arising from the sale, I leave to be equally divided between my three daughters & two grand daughters, Phebe Freshwater, Jemima Morris & Catty (or Cathy) Hunt & my two grand daughters Elsey & Rosey Eslick, to be equally divided among them with the exception that my grand daughters take but one fourth part and with this further exception that if my heirs do refuse to give up there several rights to twenty five acres of land which I deeded to my son Ezeriah Hawkins now deceased, then in that case it is my will & pleasure that if my heirs refuse to make my son Asher Hawkins a right to twenty five acres of land where I now live, each one refusing so to do shall pay the sum of one hundred dollars to Asher Hawkins to be paid to him by my Executor before the delivery of the property out of their land.
