Intending hereby to dispose of my worldly affairs, not as (illegible) may prompt but as justice & equity may seem to direct. Most of all, I most humbly recommend my soul to the tender mercy of that all wise supreme intelligent being who gave it me; at the same time (illegible) (illegible). 1st my will and desire is that all my just debts be paid and satisfied by my executors. 2nd I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Carteret Jones one dollar. 3rd I give devise & bequeath unto my second son Christopher Jones one dollar. 4th I give & bequeath unto my daughter Martha Barber one dollar to (illegible) & (illegible) heirs forever. 5th I authorize my executors to sell to the best advantage and convey the tract of land whereon Isaac Barber now lives on, by estimation eighty five acres and the proceeds thereof after (illegible) & necessary charges to be equally divided between my other children already named; Carteret, Christopher, & Martha Barber, their heirs and assigns forever. 6th My will & desire is that my executors (illegible) all controversies that may arise & happen among my heirs & that their decision shall be final and conclusive without recourse to any other person or persons or any court of justice. 7th I lend unto my wife Mary Jones & my youngest son Hezekiah Jones during their natural lives jointly & severally to them (illegible) the land whereon I now live which I purchased of (illegible) (illegible) by estimation 135 acres also my stock of any kind such as horses, cattle, hogs, furniture, farming utensils of any kind and description under the care and supervision of my executors as trustees for their care and comfort only during their natural lives. (Illegible……..) said property to be sold and be equally divides among the heirs of said Hezekiah lawfully begotten in wedlock forever. But in failure of said heirs, after the death of both, the same to be sold by my executors and after deducting necessary charges, the proceeds thereof to be equally divided among my other children, their heirs and assigns forever. Last of all, I hereby nominate & appoint my friends William Kellem (or Hellon) and Robert Dickson Executors of this my last will & testament giving and granting unto them full and discretionary forever; also revoking all others by me made acknowledging this only.
