I, Micajah King of the state & county forenamed, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life & being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed by Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner & form to wit… First of all, I recommend my soul to God and as touching (?) my worldly estate, I devise and order my Executor to cause all my just debts to be paid out of my estate. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Nancy King the house and house (?) field where I now live, also & further desire and order that she shall have all the property which she owned and brought to my house when I married her also one cow and calf and two ewes and lambs and one sow and pigs also her own dower out of my property during her life. Then I do also give and bequeath unto my son William King one hundred acres of land where he now lives also one hundred and twenty five acres near where I now live. ITEM I do also give and bequeath unto my son in law William (Ritter or Pitts ?) fifty cents and also one feather bed and two cows and calves which was lent to my daughter Elizabeth when he married her. ITEM I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Martha King all my stock of cattle. ITEM I do also give and bequeath unto my grand sons David Carter (?) and Shadrack Carter fifty cents to be equally divided between them. ITEM I also give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Penny King one note on Henry (?) Blake (?) for twenty five dollars if he should pay for the land which I sold him, if he should not pay agreeable to bargain, I give her the land and if she should die without a lawful kin, my will and desire is that David Carter thereto have the same. I further desire my Executor to sell all the residue of my personal property, goods and chattles of what kind and notions whatever and the proceeds arising from the sale thereof, I give and bequeath unto my son William King and my daughter Martha King to be equally divided between them and lastly I hereby appoint my friend John King & my son William King, the executors of this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 1st day of November AD 1830.
