Carolina, Onslow County I, Muncie Ward of the county & state aforesaid, being sick but of perfect mind & memory thanks be the almighty for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. First, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of the almighty God who first gave it and my body to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors who will be hereafter mentioned. Secondly, I give to my nephew W. W. Ambrose, my old negro woman Fan and (illegible) (four rent years hire?) to him and his heirs forever. I also give to said William my negro girl Elizer by his paying over to my sister Nancy Ambrose my neice Mary Wade, Ann M. Jones (Jnr or Snr?) & (Janie or Janis?) Ambrose a proportionable part of three hundred dollars receiving for himself one sixth of three hundred dollars. Thirdly, it is my will and desire that all my just debts should be paid out of the money I have on hand and what money be due me and the residue, I give to said W. W. Ambrose who I nominate and appoint my only executor. Fourthly, I give to Ann M. Jones my bed and furniture. Acknowledge this to be my last will and testament January 23rd 1834.
