First, I give and bequeath unto my son, Harvy Cox, a negro girl named Nancy and her child Sophia and also one other negro girl by the name of Dinah, with all their future increase to him and his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. In the next place, I lend to my beloved daughter, Greensey Mills, two negro girls by the name of Lucy and Clara for her sole and separate use and benefit during her natural life, and at her death, I wish the said slaves, with all their future increase, to be equally divided among all her children. I also give to my said daughter Greensey Mills one linen wheel, one big chest, one bed and half of all my bed clothes to her and her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. I also give to my two grandsons Starkey Cox and Edward Cox, twenty five dollars each to be paid to them in cash by my executor when they arrive at the age of twenty one years. I also leave to my son, Harvy Cox, all my stock of horses, hogs and cattle and all the remainder of my household and kitchen furniture, to him and his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my son, Harvy Cox, sole executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others. In testimony of all which I, the said Martha Cox, have on this 8 day of August AD 1845, set my hand and affixed my seal.
