I, Josiah Henderson Sr., do make and order this my last will and testament as follows. Thanks be to God for his merses, hoping that I may one with that blessed Rector at the last day, of Almighty God, God abel to save to all that commeth unto him in fear and tremblin. Furstly, I devise my body to the earth from furst it twas tooke in hope of that reserection. Secondly, I give to my sun Hillary Henderson two cows and calfs and fetherbed. Thirdly, I give to my sun Benjamin Henderson heirs ten dollars ech. Forthly, I give unto heirs of Gabriel Henderson two dollars each and one negro boy by name of Anthony only I except my lifetime. Elizabeth Warters ten dollars. Fifthly, I give unto my sun Josiah Henderson, one negro boy by the name of James. Sixthly, I give unto my daughter (Alce or Alice) two negros, one Elas and (Antony - marked through?) Seventhly, I give to my sun Daniel a negro woman by the name of Dafney and her yongist child by the name Hester. I leve my sun Josiah my Executor to this my last will and testament December the 13th 1844. It is therefore ordered that letters testamentary issue to the executor and this will be recorded & filed.
