This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ==================================================================== BENJAMIN JENKINS SR WILL State of North Carolina County of Onslow Will Book 2 I, Benjamin Jenkins, of the County Onslow & State of North Carolina, being of sound mine & memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form, that is to say; First that my executor herein after named shall provide for my body a desent burial suitable to the wishes of my relations & friends and pay all funeral expences together with my just debts, howsoever and whomsoever owing out of the money that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate. ITEM I give and devise unto my beloved wife Patsey Jenkins two choice beds and furniture, two choice sows & pigs & four choice stock of bees, all the domestick fowls and pottrey and all the provisions that may be on hand at the time of my death. ITEM I give and bequeath to my eldest, widow of Adam Deale, one dime to be paid by my executor within two years from the time of my death is to be hers absolutely forever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Aza Jenkins one dime as his rite and property forever to be paid by my executor in the same maner as the last bequeath and is made under the same views in reference to the former advancement. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Canady, wife of Elijah Canady, the sum of one dime as her write and property forever to be paid by my executor is the same maner as the last bequeath and is made under the same views in reference to the former advancement. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my youngest son Edmond Jenkins the sum of one dime as his rite and property forever to be paid by my executor in the same maner as the last bequeath and is made under the same views in reference to the former advancement. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my youngest daughter Eliza Eadens, wife of James Edens, the sum of one dime as her rite and property forever to be paid by my executor in the same maner as the last bequeath and is made under the same views in reference to the former advancement. And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusted friends Elijah Beasley & Elijah Justice Jr., my lawful executors to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning & declaring uterly void all other wills and testament by me heretofore made. Beasley & R. W. Justice, the subscribing witnesses thereto as the last will and testament of Benjamin Jenkins Sr., decd., and ordered by the court to be recorded and filed as such, when Elijah Beasley, one of the executors qualified.
