I, Esther Melton of the County and State aforesaid, do make, declare and 
publish my last will and testament as follows, to wit:
1.  I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Melton all my interest right and 
title in the personal estate of my son Overton Melton lately decd., to him his 
executors administrators and assigns.
2.  I give and divise also to my son Benjamin Melton all my interest if any in 
the real estate of my said son Overton Melton decd., to him, his heirs and 
assigns forever.
3.  I give and bequeath to my grandson Andrew J. Melton two feather beds, 
bedsteads and furniture.
4.  I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Melton also one 
feather bed.
5.  I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Melton also one feather bed.
6.  Lastly, I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my son Benjamin Melton 
Executor of this my last will and testament.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Esther Melton, 
decd., was exhibitted in open court for probate, and admitted as such last 
will and testament by the oaths and examination of James G. Scott and A. J. 
Murrill, the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and 
filed.

At December Term 1860, Benjamin J. Melton, the executor herein named, appeared 
in open court and was qualified in due form of law and letters testamentary 
ordered to give to him.
