I, Archibald Parker, of the State and County aforesaid, being weak body but of perfect mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament as follows. ITEM I give and bequeath to beloved wife Ann Parker one bed furniture and stead, one cow and calf, one sow and pigs, one wooling wheel and cords to her and her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Hardison one cow and calf to her and her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Fisher twenty cents to her and her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Jane Parker one bed and furniture and one cow and calf to her and her heirs and assigns for ever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my two youngest sons, namely Owen and Archibald Parker, to them and their heirs and assigns forever one cow & calf each. ITEM I lend all my real and personal estate to my wife Ann Parker for the support of her and her five youngest children, namely James Madison Shepard, Owen and Archibald Parker, and Sarah Jane Parker, during her widowhood or death. Then my will and disire is that my lands to be equally divided between my four sons above named and the personal estate to, if any, to be equally divided between my five youngest children as above named. ITEM My will is that my negro man Ned be hired out for the use of paying my debts and when my debts is settled, then my will is that my Executor can (do it?) as he shall think proper and the hire and sell and after my debts is paid, if any, to go to my wife and five youngest children as before mentioned, to them and their heirs and assigns for ever. Lastly, I make and ordain my worthy friend Abraham Gideons my Executor, this my last will and testament in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed seal in presents of us this 25 day December 1838. Then was the will of Archibald Parker offered for probate and admitted on the oaths of Elizabeth Rhodes and David Gornto the subscribing witnesses thereto and Abram Gideons the executor therein named, qualified in due form of law and the widow of said Parker entered her dispute to said will.
