Pollock of the County of Onslow and State of N.C., being weak in body but in perfect mind and memory, blessed be God for the same, and knowing that all men have to dy, it is my desire to dispose of what it hath been pleased God to bestowed on, be in the following manner in the form of a will, first; I give to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Pollock, one piece of land where the house I now live on, beginning at Stones Creek bridge and running up the road to Bull branch, then down Bull branch to the creek, then down the creek to the beginning and also one negro woman named Clarry and all my stock of every kind and all my provision that I have on hand and all my household and kitching firnature plantation tools and farming instruments and I also lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Pollock all the balance of my land and four Negroes viz., Dave, Calista, Nance & George during her natural life or widowhood and also the hire of these Negroes last named, then I give to my daughter Lucretia Pollock two hundred and forty dollars in good notes, then at the death or marriage of my said wife, it is my will that all the property that I have loned to my wife with all the balance of my estate to be equally divided between my two daughters Lucretia and Elizabeth Pollock and I do ordain and appoint John Cooper executor to this my last will and testament and do publish and ordain this to be my last will and testament this 8th day of January AD 1859. Ennett State of North Carolina} Onslow County} Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions June Term 1859 Then was a paper writing offered and admitted to probate on the oaths of Jarrott Gornto and Joseph Ennett the subscribing witnesses thereto and the same ordered to be filed and recorded as the last will and testament of Quincy A. Pollock, decd., and Elizabeth Pollock widow of said Quincy A. Pollock entered her dissent to said will, which was entered of record and John Cooper the Executor therein named appeared in open court and was duly qualified according to law by taking the oath prescribed for executors.
