ITEM I lend to my beloved wife Rachel Scott all my lands whereon I now live that I bought of Elijah Russell during her natural life or widowhood. I lend to my beloved wife Rachel Scott my two Negroes namely Nathan and Emmer, together with all my stock of horses, cattle, hogs and sheep, also all my household and kitchen furniture of what kind so ever, also all the provision that may be on hand at my demise. ITEM My will and desire is that at the death or marriage of my beloved wife Rachel Scott, that my negro boy Nathan be sold and the money arising therefrom to be equally divided between my four oldest sons, namely Jorden, John, Daniel and William Scott. ITEM I give to my beloved daughter Eliza Waltom one dollar to her and her heirs forever. ITEM I give to my beloved daughter Elender Waltom one dollar to her and her heirs forever. ITEM I give to my beloved daughter Anna Scott one dollar, also one feather bed & stead & furniture to her and her heirs forever. ITEM My will and desire is that at the death or marriage of my beloved wife Rachel Scott that all my property of every description together with all my land above mentioned be equally divided between my sons namely, Rayford and Benjamin and Gabriel A. Scott. ITEM I leave my Negro woman Lucy to be sold and the money to be equally divided between my three daughters, namely Eliza Waltom, Elender Waltom and Anna Scott. I hereby make and ordain my trusty friend Gardner Shepard Executor to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I John Scott have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
