I, Charney Sparkman, being weak in body but of sound mind, calling to mind the shortness of life & certainty of death & wishing to dispose of little property that God has been pleased to bless me with, do make and ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following. 1st that my soul be received up into Glory, my body to its mother dust, my burial charges be paid & all my other just debts be paid. 2nd My will & disire is that my beloved wife Sarah Sparkman keep & hold all the residue of my little stock of property or as will be necessary for her use & family during her life or widowhood. The property sold after my debts is paid to be put to the use of schooling my three youngest children. I now nominate my worthy friend Gardner Shepeard my Executor to this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made.
