I, Willoughby Stephens, being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, knowing that it is appointed for all to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, revoking all others here before by me made in manner and form following. ITEM First I wish as much of my perishable property to be sold as will school my three sons twelve months, to wit, Willoughby, William and Ira. Secondly, I wish my beloved wife Margaret to have all the balance of my personal estate except enough to pay my just debts during her natural life and then to be equally divided between my children. I also wish my beloved wife Margaret to have all my land & plantation during her natural life and then to be equally divided between my children. I nominate my trusty friend Charles Thompson & my son Willoughby Stephens my executors. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 21st August 1838.
