First it is my request that my debts be paid and satisfied by my Executors, that is to say my son John A. Taylor, who I appoint my lawfull representative. First I loan to my beloved wife, Sarah Taylor, during her natural life or widowhood the upper part of my plantation divided by a crop fence including all my buildings and a part of my boxes by estimation containing twenty four or five barrel place be the same more or less and all of my household and kitchin furniture and one horse bridle & saddle, one plow & gear, one yoke of oxen & cart, two cows & calves, first choice, two sows & pigs and ten goates, four head sheep, first choice and two negro woman by the name of Chaney & Emilly & two stocks of bees. I also give to my wife Sarah Taylor her provisions for one year. I give to my son John A. Taylor all of my land on the north side of Webs Creek & at the death of my wife, Sarah Taylor, I give him one feather bed & the residue of my land on the south side. I also give to my daughter Sarah Taylor, sixty acres of land lying in the bend of Webs Creek on the south side & one bed and bedstead and furniture, two cows and yearlings, two yews & lambs and at the death of my wife, Sarah Taylor, I give her one negro woman name Emilly and the residue of my property to sold and equally divided between my children. I also acknowledge this to my last will in the presents of the witnesses whereunto I have set my hand and seal this 24th day of January 1845. (signed) John Taylor Thos. B. Holland Isaac H. Then was the foregoing paper writing exhibitted in open court as the last will and testament of John Taylor deceased which was admitted upon the oath of Thomas B. Holland, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is considered by the court that said paper writing is the last will and testament of John Taylor and that the same be admitted to probate as such, whereupon the same be recorded and filed as and for the last will and testament of John Taylor deceased, at the same time John A.
