Item: I give and bequeath beloved son Donie (?) fifty acres of land lying in Wells fork on the north side of Cow head Creek and also give him fifteen acres more being in Jumpen Run Neck which John Gornto was to make deed to which I wish made to my son Daniel. Item: I lend to my beloved wife Rebecca the houses and cleared land adjoining them as far as a small locust tree in the peach orchard and through the neck so as to include my field on Bear Head during her natural life. Item: I give the cleared land on Wallace's Creek side and the balance of my peach orchard and all on the north side of the line, both cleared and woodland, to be equally divided between my two daughters, Pollie and Elizabeth, them & their heirs forever, I mean north of the line from the locust tree to the mouth of Bearhead. Item: I give, at the death of my wife, the lands that I lent her to be equally divided amongst all my children according to quantity & quality, including my youngest daughter Elen as well as above named children. Item: I give to my son Daniel my young mare and her increase to him and his heirs forever. I think I have made ample provisions for paying my just debts and I wish three of my neighbors called in to divide my stock and furniture of every description equally between my wife & four children, and should there be any money left out of the appropriation to pay my debts, I give to be equally divided amongst my wife and four children, and wish an equal division amongst them in any thing that I may have omitted to mention. Item: I give Wallen Brown five shoats. I leave my beloved wife my sole executrix to this my last will and testament, revoking all wills by me made heretofore, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 8 day of April 1823.
