IMPRIMUS: I lend to my wife, Hilda Fields, negro Hope, negress Frances, during the term of her natural life and at or before her decease, she is fully authorized and empowered to execute and do to such of them as may be most agreeable to herself, also during the term of her widowhood, one girl named Sal in the possession of my daughter Ann, the increase of said negress Sal to the use and benefit of my said daughter Ann, heirs of her body forever. ITEM 2: I give and bequeath unto my said wife Huldah one bed and furniture her choice, one desk her choice, one chest her choice, heirs and assigns. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Richard Ward Fields one hundred dollars at the end of three years from my decease and sooner if convenient by my executors. ITEM: I authorize my executor to pay my daughter Rebecca an annuity of five dollars per annum. I also give her one dollar, heirs and assigns. ITEM: I give my son three years after my decease Brice Fields understood one hundred dollars, heirs & assigns. ITEM: I lend unto my daughter Dorothy Williamston during her natural life to be under her controlled use, absolutely and not other person or persons, Negro woman Jude 7 her increase of the present day & those they may have hereafter. After her demise (Dorothy Williamston) to (be) deemed to the heirs of her body forever. ITEM: I lend to my daughter Ann Scott, Negro Rose and increase except a life state in girl Sal to her use and benefit only after her demist to be deemed to the heirs of her body, each to share alike forever. ITEM: I lend to my daughter Narcissa Fields, during the term of her natural life, Negro woman Young Fan to absolute and benefit only and after her demise, to lend to the heirs of her body also the increase of the present day & then they may have hereafter forever. ITEM: I lend to my daughter Vashti, one Negro called Phillis and increase at present. Two children named Hardy and Ben during the term of her life, to her use and control only after her demise to be deemed to the heirs of her body each to share alike forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath unto my son Jacob Fields all my lands and tenements above Wallace's branch, said branch between my residence and the heirs of my late brother Aaron Fields, him and assigns forever. I also give him my blacksmith tools, one bed & chest in his possession. Finally, I constitute and appoint my son Jacob and wife Huldah executors of this will, revoking all others in testimony I, the said Jacob Fields Senior, have signed the same with my hand the 13th day of February 1823.
