This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina State of North Carolina} Onslow County} In the name of God, Amen: I, Rebekah Fields of the county & state aforesaid, being poorly but of sound mind and memory, as can be expected thanks to God for the same, this 27th day of July A.D. 1819, do make and ordain this my last will and testament revoking all others in manner following to wit: I first recommend my soul to the mercy of Almighty God who gave it me & my body to be interred in a Christian like manner, at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named, as touching such worldly goods, as it has pleased God to bless with, I dispose of the same as follows. ITEM: I give to my grandson Council Fields my youngest mare. ITEM: I give to my grandson Judge Fields one yoke of oxen. ITEM: I also give each of my grandsons Redding & Gibson Fields ten dollars apiece. ITEM: It is my will & desire that my granddaughter Olive Fields have my bed. ITEM: It is my wish that all of my wearing clothes should be equally divided between Huldah Fields, Nancy Fields, & Reneney Smith. ITEM: It is my will and desire that all my household goods and stock of every kind should belong to my son Jacob Fields, to him, his heirs and assigns forever. This I make to be my last will and testament, revoking all others maid by me. I also nominate and appoint my son Jacob Fields executor to the above will in witness whereof I do set my hand affixed my seal the day and year above written.
