In the name of God, Amen:  I, Seth Hadnot of the state and county aforesaid, 
do give and bequeath my property in the manner following, to wit:

Article the first:  I give and bequeath to my beloved wife all my household 
and kitchen furniture, three tables, nine chairs and generally every thing 
appertaining thereto.  Article the 2nd:  two cows and calves.

Article the 3rd:  It is my wish that the residue of my property consisting of 
hogs, farming utensils and one mare, to be sold on a credit of six months, and 
with the proceeds thereof, I wish my just debts paid and none others.  The 
remainder if any, I give to my beloved wife Susan, whom I do constitute and 
appoint my executrix, in witness whereof I hereunto affix my hand and seal 
this the 6th day of June 1831.

Onslow County:  In court August term 1831, then was the will of Seth Hadnot 
approved for probate which was admitted and proved by the oath of H. E. Duffy.
