After my just debts and needful expenses are paid, I desire to dispose of property that it has pleased God to bless me with in the following manner: ITEM: I lend unto my beloved wife Lillion Hansley three cows and calves & two horses, one good horse, also the plantation I now live, one bed and furniture and one Negro named Luke, one third part of my stock of hogs during her natural life. ITEM: I give to my son William Hansley three cows and calves. ITEM: I give to my son John Hansley's (Jr.?) four children, (namely) Sarah, James, Elizabeth and David, part of a tract of land that I bought of Samuel Swane, executors agreeable to the bound(ary) after mentioned, beginning at the white gum running to head of branch, thence by a row of marked trees to the back line, the part that joins Goose Bay. Item: I give to my son John Hansley (Jr.?) two cows and calves. ITEM: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Abigail Yopp two cows and calves. ITEM: I give to my son Thomas Hansley one Negro man named Luke after the death of my wife. ITEM: I give unto my son Thomas Hansley one pewter dish and six pewter plates, one bed and furniture. ITEM: I give unto my son Edward Hansley three cows and calves. ITEM: I give to my son Evan Hansley one Negro boy named Friday, three cows and calves and one two-year old heifer, one chest, one bed and furniture and six pewter plates, one pot rack, one pare of steelyards. ITEM: I give all the rest of my property to my children that are then surviving to be equally divided by my executors, only Edward is to pay out of his part one hundred and twenty eight dollars to the rest of my heirs out of his part. Lastly, I nominate and appoint James Foy, Esq., and my son William Hansley executors to this my last will and testament, revoking all other wills, do acknowledge this to be my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 28th day of November 1807.
