This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I, Obediah Hawkins of Onslow in North Carolina, being in a low state of health, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in following, that is to say: I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my executrix and touching such worldly estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with, I will and bequeath in the following manner and form. I bequeath to my daughter Susanna Mayos five shillings, also I give to my daughter Sarah Miles five shillings. I give and bequeath unto my true and well beloved wife Margat Hawkins all the remain of my estate, both real and personal, during her natural life, then to Josiah Henderson, son of Elizabeth Wisely, to him and his heirs forever. I likewise constitute and make and ordain my wife Margat Hawkins and Stephen Charlescraft the sole executors of this my will and testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testament and wills by me in any ways before named, willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set hand and seal.
