This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina State of North Carolina} Onslow County} In the name of God, Amen: I, George Hazard of the County and State aforesaid, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be the Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following: IMPRIMUS: My will is that my executors, hereafter named pays off the debts I owe out of my outstanding debts that is due me. ITEM: I give unto my beloved wife Nancy Hazard my riding chear & harness and horse, also as much of my household furniture as she stand in need of, also of stock of every kind, also corn & bacon & pork and her equal part of land & Negroes. Item: I give unto my daughters Nancy and Susan Haywood my land that I own near Swansborough, the Glespie land and to be divided as rode runs and one lot in town of Swansborough if either of my daughters should decease before they come of age or marry the survivor is to hold all the lands, also land on bare bank that I bought of John Morse, also their equal part of my Negroes to them and their heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give unto my son George the land whereon I live that bought of Creed Dudley and his equal part of my Negroes to him and his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give unto my son Thomas the land that bought of John Errexson and the land I bought of the executors W. Edward Ward, also a small piece of land I pattoned adjoining said land and adjoining the land I give my son George and the land that I pattoned on Wallace's Creek, also the land I have on Bare Creek or the mortgage money and his equal part of my Negroes to him and his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: My will is that my executors hereafter named do sell all my estate that I have not given away and the money divided between my wife and my children. Lastly, I appoint my beloved wife my executrix with my friends Edmond Hatch, Jr., and Duran Hatch, Esq., of Jones County, of this my last will and testament my executors, revoking all others by me made, I have hereunto set my hand and seal. I do appoint my friend Daniel Dulany in the room of Durant Hatch, Esq., and my executor also and will is that my executors do sell all my estate that I have not given away and the money divided between my wife and children.
