ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - Mettiah Morton, 8 Jul 1808 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God Amen: I, Mettiah Morton being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory blessed be to God for it, do this day make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz., First I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Morton all and singular my property of every kind during her natural life and after her death my will and desire is that my children should have it except my young horse Hawk, which I wish my two brothers to have to wit, Isaiah & Henderson Morton, on there paying my wife Elizabeth Morton forty-five dollars for him, which money I wish to go to my wife after my debts is paid out of it. Secondly and lastly, I do constitute and appoint my friend John Mattocks and Benjamin Howard my whole and sole executors to this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th of July 1808.
