ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - Henry Marshburn, 23 Feb 1801 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God Amen: I Henry Marshburn of Onslow County being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be God do this 23rd day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say: ITEM: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Ann Marshburn, my negroe girl Sharlett and my mare named Pol bridle and saddle, one feather bed and furniture and cist. ITEM: I lend to my beloved wife Ann Marshburn my plantation whereon I now live also all my stock of every kind excepting them I have given away induring her natural life or widowhood. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son James Marshburn all my lands and plantation on Harrey's Creek where I formley live and my Negro wench Pege and all carpenter tools, to him his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Marshburn my negroe girl named Dines, two cows and calves one chest formerly called her chest to her, her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Marshburn my Negro wench Chelch, one feather bed and furniture two cows and calves to her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Marshburn after my wife death or widowhood all my lands and plantations whereon I now live and my turners tools to him his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Reba Marshburn one girl named Ede and feather bed and furniture one cow and calfe to her heirs or assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequath to my son Henry Marshburn all my lands lying on Black Creek and my Negro boy named George and all my cuppers tools to him, his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give nd bequeath daughter Elizabeth Marshburn my Negro girl named Ester one feather bed and furniture and cow to her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath Sary Marshburn my Negro garl named Dilice and one feather bed and furniture one cow and calfe to her and her heirs or assigns forever. ITEM: MY will and desire is after my wife's death or widowhood is for all myhouse hold and kitchen furniture to be equally divided among all of my daughters to them their heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I leave my Negro wench Flanes and her increase if any to be equally divided between my two sons James Marshburn and Daniel Marshburn being twenty one years of age to them their heirs and assigns forever. Ane I hereby make and ordain my worthy friends my love wife Ann Marshburn and Joseph Marshburn executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Henry Marshburn have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
