ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - Tamer Marshburn, 16 Dec 1823 ----¤¤¤---- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I Tamer Marshburn of Onslow County and State of North Carolina, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be to God, do this sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say ITEM: 1st, I give and bequeath to my beloved brother Daniel Marshburn one negrow girl by the name of Ritty also one Negro boy by the name of David after my brother Daniel pays three hundred & eight dollars as I shall hereafter direct then the said Negro be unto him his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: 2nd, I give and bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Shepard two dollars to be paid by my brother Daniels out of the three hundred and eight dollars. ITEM: 3rd, I give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah Marshburn two dollars to be paid as the above. ITEM: 4th, I give unto my brother David Marshburn two dollars which is to be paid as in item the second. ITEM: 5th, I give unto my brother in law Hardy Files two dollars to be paid as you will see in item the second. ITEM: 6th, I give and bequeath unto my cousin Tamar Files daughter of Hardy Files two hundred dollars to be paid her when she comes of age and in case the said Tanner dies before she comes of age then and in that case to be equally divided between all of my brothers and sisters to them their heris and assigns forever. ITEM: 7th, I give unto my cousin Tanner Files daughter as aforesaid one cow and calf to her her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: 8th, I give and bequeath unto my cousin Elizabeth Files daughter of Jessey Files one hundred dollars to be paid her when she comes of age out of the three hundred dollars and if she dies before she come of age, then to be equally divided between her sisters and brothers. ITEM: 9th, I give to Ritty Files my cousin daughter of Jessey Files one heafer to her her heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: 11th, It is my particular will and desire that my brother Daniel Marshborn shall not pay any interest on the two and one hundred dollars that I above given to my two cousins. And I hereby make and ordain my worthy brother Daniel Marshborn executor to this my last will and testament, in witness whereof I the said Tamer Marshborn have to this my last will and testament, set my hand and seal, the day and year above written.
