Onslow County, North Carolina

In the name of God, Amen:  I Houston Roberts being sound disposing mind and 
memory and calling to mind the mortality of man do make and ordane this my 
last will and testament in the following manner and my will is that all my 
just debts be paid and my body decently buried at the descretion of my 
surviving friends.
ITEM: I give and bequeath to my beloved sisters Peggy Foy and Meriam Ward all 
the whole of my estate both rail and personal to be equally divided between 
them after paying my just debts and I hereby nominate and appoint my friend 
Fredrick Foy and Benjamine Ward executors to this my last will and testament 
and revoking all others by me at any time made, in witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th of October 1822.

Onslow County:  In court May term 1823, this will of Houstan Roberts was 
proved by the oath Alexr Nelson one of the subscribing witness & Benjamine 
Ward one of the executors therein named qualified thereto.
