Onslow County, North Carolina

In the name of God Amen:  I William Scott being weak in body but of sound mind
and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner & form
following first I recommend my soul to God who gave it hoping through
themerits and of my blessed Saviour to receive free pardon of all my sins and
as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of
in the following manner.

ITEM: I give to my daughter Sarah Scott one feather bed & bed stead and 
furniture.
ITEM: I give and bequeath to my four sons John Scott, William Scott, Samuel 
Scott, David Scott two hundred and fifty acres of land lying in Jones County 
to be equally divided between them also one cow & calf to them & their heirs 
forever.
ITEM: I give and bequeath to my sons Edwrad Scott, James & Benjamin Scott, the 
plantation whereon I now live to be equally dvided between them also one cow a 
piece.
ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Elender Scott one bed & bed stead & 
furniture.
ITEM: I lend to my wife Elender Scott during her natural life or widowhood one 
bed & furniture two yoke of oxen three head of horse kind one cross out saw 
two ploughs five axes & all my weeding hoes all the rest of my personal 
property also bee hives & all the rest to be equally divided amongst my 
children at their mother's death.

Lastly I nominate & appoint my beloved wife Elender Scott executrix and my son
John Scott executor to this my last will revoking all other will or wills by
me made ratifying this to be my last will and testament.
