This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I Benjamine Shepard of Onslow County, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be God this 31st day of August in the year of our Lord 1805, I do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say, first of all I desire to be buried in a Christian like manner and all my just debts and funeral charges to be paid. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Jenkins Shepard fifteen shillings, to him, his heirs and assigns forever. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lillie Shepard all my land and plantation whereon I now live, also my household and kitchen furniture, my horses, bridle and saddle, also all my plantation tools and all my hogs and cattle, also all the rest of my ungiven property if any unmentioned to her, her heirs or assigns forever. And hereby make and ordain my brother George Shepard executor and my beloved wife Lillie Shepard my executrix of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I, the said Benjamin Shepard, have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
