This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina State of North Carolina: Onslow County: In the name of God, Amen: I Benjamine Taner (Tanner) Sr., of the state and county aforesaid, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life but being of sound and perfect mind, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say; First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Taner all my lands and houses, goods and chattels of every kind, during her natural life or widowhood and then to be equally divided between my wife and my three children, to-wit: Benjamine (Jr.) and Elizabeth and Ezekiel. I also wish and desire for my two sons Benjamine and Ezekiel should be bound to some good trade at the age of fifteen. I hereby appoint my beloved wife Sarah Taner sole executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal February the fifth day one thousand eight hundred and seven.
