ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - John Trott, Sr., 1 Apr 1823 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I John Trott Senior of the County of Onslow and State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory but week in body and beliving my destination near, after recommending my soul to God who gave it have made this my last will and testament (VIZ); (after all my just debts are paid), I give and bequeath to my son Daniel his choice of my beds with two sheats and two blankets to him and his heirs forever. The two other sons by my first wife I have given as much in my estamation I am (? - blotted out)…… The balance of my property I give and bequeath to the three illegitimate children of Rachel my wife, which she had before my intermarriage with her who is now deceased, namely Joseph, James, and Moses, to them and their heirs forever. To this my last will and testament I constitute and appoint John Morton as my worthy friend executor given under my hand this 1st day of April 1823.
