ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - Thomas Walton, 15 Jan 1804 ----¤¤¤---- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I Thomas Walton of the county of Onslow & state of North Carolina, being sick of body but perfect mind and memory and knowing that all men has once to die I do recommend my soult to God hoe gaive it and my body to the earth to be buried in a chirstian like manner at the descretion of my executors hereafter nominated and as for worldly goods it has been pleased God to give me, I dispose of in the following manner, that is to say first of all my will and desire is that as much of my pershiable property be sold as will pay all my just debts such as can be best spared. ITEM: I first of all I lend unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Walton all my household furniture of every kind all my plantation tools of every kind all my stock of cattle and all my stock of hogs, my mare & cart also. I lend unto my wife Elizabeth Walton one canoe all the above named property of every kind I lend unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Walton during her natural life after my debts are paid out of them to inabel her to raise my small children, I also lend my beloved wife Elizabeth Walton the use of all the upper part of my plantation during her natural life beginning in the east line of my land in such a part that running a due west course the Mulberry tree at the grave yard may be in the dividng line and from the Mulberry tree run a due west course to my westmost line of my lands the use of all my lands from said line I lend unto wife Elizabeth Walton during her natural life to enable her to keep my smaller children together and raise them on and at my wife's death my will and desire is that all my perishable estate that is then remaining of every kind be sold and equally divided between my daughters that is then living. ITEM: I lend unto my son Amos Walton the use of the lower part of my plantation from the Mulberry tree at the graveyard and as that line running a west course as heretofore mentioned from that line to the sound to his use until the death of my beloved wife Elizabeth Walton and at her death my will and desire is that all my lands be equally divided between all my sons then living which lands I give unto them their heirs and assigns forever. And lastly I nominate John Fullwood my brother James Walton and my son Amos Walton to be my executors to this my last will and testament utterly revoking and disannulling all other will or will s whatever acknowledgeing this to be my last will and testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this the 15th day of January 1804.
