ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - Maria Ward, 23 Jan 1834 ----¤¤¤¤---- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina State of North Carolina Onslow County: I Maria Ward of the county & the state aforesaid being sick but of perfect mind & memory thank be almighty for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me any time heretofore made. FIRST: I give and recommend my soul into the hands of the almighty God who first gave it and my body to be buried in a Christian like manner at the dessision of my executor who will be hereafter mentioned. SEDONDLY: I give to my Nefue W. W. Ambrose my old Negro woman Fann and her present years hire to him and his heirs forever, I also give to said William my Negro girl Eliza by his paying over to my sister Nancy Ambrose my neice Mary Wade, Ann M. James, Ino & James Ambrose a potiianable part of the three hundred dollars reseving for himself f one sith of the three hundred dollars. THIRDLY It is my will and desire that all my just debts should be paid out of the money I have on hand and what may be due me and the reside I give to said W. W. Ambrose who I nominate and appoint my only exec. FOURTHLY: I give to Ann M. James my bed and burniture I do hereby acknowledge this to be my last will and testament. January 23rd 1834.
