ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - John Waters, 27 Apr 1805 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen; I John Waters of the County of Onslow & State of North Carolina, planter, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory knowing that it is appointed once for all men to die hoping that at the general resurrection in and through the merits of a dear redeemer, I shall receive pardon, the property that I am possessed with at present I leave in the following manner after my burhing charges are discharged and all my just debts paid at the descretion of my executors hereafter named in the following manner & form. !st: I give to my beloved wife Elizabeth Waters one bed and furniture one cow and calf & one steer two years old one pewter basin one set of cups & saucers one drinking glass one coffee pot, one decanter, one peper box, one dozen plates, tolivate my wife to live on my land during her widowhood. 2nd: I give to my daughter Peggey one cow and calf, also one cow and calf more, also one yoke of oxens after July the oxen to be sold & put out to interest for her use also one feather bed and furniture one pot one skillet one set of cups & saucers, one tinn flowered coffee pott three punch bowels, two chunk bottles, two two-year-old heifers, one hand mill, one earthen pot, one chest. 3rd: To my son Elijah I leave two two-year-old hefier, two bells, one loom, one cooper ax, one dozen pair of compasses, one ax, fifteen head of hogs, I leave also six head more of hogs to my son Elijah Waters two drawing knives, one gun, one pewter basin, one coffee pot, one trunk, one bedstead, one pot, one tea kittle, one set of truss hoops, & all the sitting chairs, that I am possessed of, one shot bag & blowing horn, two hoes after this crop is over also one plough, one grubbing hoe, two jugs, one frying pan, also one cow & calf, laso sixty acres of outland, one bridle and saddle, one ox car, one ox that is in my mother's possession after her death to go to my son Elijah, one table, one round shave, one ax, one bee hive, one water pail, one ox yoke, ring and staple, one tub, one stock lock & lastly Inominate and appoint my trusty friends Southey Waters & Ezekiel Henderson executors to this my last will and testament revoking all former will by me made in witness whereunto I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this twenty seventh day of April 1805.
