This file was contributed for use in the North Carolina USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Cole ============================================================================ Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I Catharine Watson, being not in perfect health but in perfect mind & memory, calling to mind that I am appointed once to die, do make, ordain & appoint this my last will and testament in manner & form as follows; that is to say, First I recommend my soul to God who gave it to me & my body I recommend to be decently buried at the discretion of my estate hereafter I wanted & as to what temporal property it has pleased God to bestow upon me, I lend, give and bequeath as follows; to my three sons Samuel, David & John Field, I give to each of them one shilling being their full share with what I have already given them in possession, and to my daughter Alcy Yates one bull yearling to her heirs and assigns with what I have given her before in possession & to my daughter Nancy Gibson, my will is that she shall have as follows; one cow & calf, one feather bed, bedstead & furniture, one pot trammel, one spice mortar, one griddle & the remainder part of my household furniture that I don't mention hereafter, which give & bequeath to her, her heirs & assigns forever & to my granddaughter Cetty Berrah one feather bed & bedstead, one cow & calf & my chest lock & key, and also I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Elcy Berry one heifer yearling, one half dozen pewter plates, one tea kettle, one skillet, half dozen mettle spoons, also to my grandson Richard Gibson, I will & bequeath to him, his heirs & assigns, one cow big with calf & one small pot & pot hooks & one book desk, also to my two grandsons Tommy Gibson Jr., and Ivy Gibson, one cow and calf by the name of Brindle & her increase to them & their heirs and assigns forever, and lastly I do hereby authorize, nominate & appoint my son in law Thomas Gibson executor to this my last will and testament, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of October, 1802.
