ONSLOW COUNTY, NC - WILL BOOK A - William Wiley, 17 Feb 1801 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Record of Wills, Book A 1800-1825 Onslow County, North Carolina In the name of God, Amen: I William Wiley of the County of Onslow County and State of North Carolina, Planter, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God and calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my sole in the hands of Almighty God that gave it me and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried Christian form at the descretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form, VIZ: First, I give and bequeath unto mbeloved wife Sally Willey, one gray mare by the name Fly to her and her heirs forever, also two feather beds and furniture, to her her heirs forever and further lend my wife three cows and calves till my children arrives to full age ormarry and then to belong to my children I also lend my wife a certain Negro man by the name of Peter during her widowhood and longer if she keeps my children till them come to age and then to be returned to my children and then to be sold and the money to be equally divided between my three children, VIZ: Betsy Willey, Sealy Wiley, and Susanna Willey. ITEM: I also give un;to my beloed wife Sally Willey, all my household furniture and all my kitchen furniture to her and her heirs forever, also one fluke plow to her and her heirs forever, also two weeding hoes to her and her heirs forever. ITEM: I also give my beloved wife two sows nd pigs, her choice to her and her heirs forever, and al lthe rest of my property not mentioned in my will to be sold to pay my debts. And lstly I moniate and appoint my loving friend Joseph Ballard and Lawrence Jarman to be my hole and sole executors of this my last will and testament, and I do hereby disallow disnul and revoke ll and every former testament wills and bequeaths and exes, by me heretofore named willed or bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and tetament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the seventeenth day of February in the year of our lord Christ eighteen hundred and one.
