There are numerous graves here marked only with brown field rock. Some of these unmarked graves are Paul family members, others are slaves graves. There is no way to tell which is which today. This cemetery was abandoned when the land left the hands of the Paul family. For over 100 years, it has been in pasture. Large cedar trees that used to stand among the graves have since died and fallen. There are only four markers left today with names and all four are broken off from their bases. These are loose among the leaves and deadwood. The old Paul plantation house that stood near the cemetery has now fallen to the ground. The last family to live here was during the war in the early 1940's. PAUL, James Sr, ca 1715 - 1785 h/o Elizabeth (?)
