B. : Excerpts from the Hillsborough Recorder: 1836 Oct. 14 - The Commissioners let bids for building of a stone wall around graveyard at St. Mary's. Transcriber's note: This data was copied from a typed 3 page document I copied at the North Carolina State Archives in 1980. A telephone to the Rector of St. Mary's in 1985 revealed the Nichols and Riggs families, my ancestors were instrumental in the formation of the church and a silver chalice is still in their possession that was given the church by George Riggs.
