Abstracts of the Minutes of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of 
Orange County in the Province of North Carolina, Sept 1752 through August 
1766, by Ruth Herndon Shields.  
 
Court of August 1763, James Saunders has liberty to build a Water Grist 
Mill on Little Creek, a branch of Dan River, he having land on both sides.
