All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@earthlink.net April 9, 2007, 8:53 pm Written: July 8, 1847 Recorded: February 1855 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 34, Page 513 Joseph Allison to Joseph A Smith Allison To Smith This Indenture made and entered into this 8th day of July Eighteen hundred and forty seven between Joseph Allison of the one part and Joseph A Smith of the other part both of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the said Allison for and in consideration of one hundred and forty dollars to him in hand paid by said Smith the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and Sold unto the Said Smith a Certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Orange on the waters of Little River adjoining the lands of Robert Reding John Reding and others, bounded as follows, Beginning at pointers running from thence South Eighteen Chains & 40 links to a willowoak, thence East Seven & three fourth Chains to pointers thence South Thirteen chains & 64 links to a Stake on Robert Reddings line thence west twenty one chains and 70 links to pointers thence North thirty one Chains and 95 links to pointers thence east thirteen chains and 75 links to the beginning Containing Fifty four acres more or less, and I the Said Allison do by these presence warrant and forever defend the write title and Claim of Said Tract or parcel of land as above described unto the Said Smith his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever against me my heirs Executors, administrators and assigns fore ever with all the appertenances thereunto belonging In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us who have Subscribed our names as witnesses Test E G.
