Simpson of the other part both of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina. Witnessth that the said Daniel Adkins for the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Simpson hath sold to the said Simpson a tract or piece of land containing one and a half acres on the waters of Haw River adjoining said Simpsons own land bounded as follows: Beginning at a Post oak on Simpsons line running thence east with said line fourteen chains and fifty links to a stake thence south one chain to a stake then west fourteen chaIns and fifty links to a Post oak, thence north to the first station to have and to hold to the said Simpson his heirs and assigns free from me my heirs or any other person or persons whatever the right and title of the above bounded premises and the said Daniel Adkins to warrant and defend to the said Lemuel W. Simpson his heirs and offspring day and date above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in the Daniel Atkins presence of James Moore Abraham Harvey Orange County November Term 1834 The execution of this deed was proved in open court by the oath of Abraham Harvey a witness thereto and ordered to be registed.
