08 June 1797, North Carolina to John Reeves, thirty shillings per hundred 
acres, 50 acres, on waters of Suggs Cr. Of Haw R., adjoins his own land & 
Empson Bird, begin at a post oak Reeves’ corn., N 19 ch. To a black oak Empson 
Bird’s cor., E 30 ½ ch. To a post oak, S 9 ch. To a post oak on Reeves; line, 
his line W 8 ch. To a hicory, S 10 ch. To a post oak, W 22 ½ ch. To first 
station, warrant dated 01 October 1793; signed Samuel Ashe; witness: J. 
Glasgow; Delvd. John Reeves.
