ORANGE COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - William Strudwick to Nathaniel Christmas 28 Jun 1795 Orange County Deed Book 6 p.323 State of North Carolina, Orange County This indenture made the twenty-eight day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-five. Between William Strudwick of the county of Orange and state of North Carolina of the one part and Nathaniel Christmas of the said county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William F. Strudwick for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds current money of North Carolina to him in hand paid by the said Nathaniel Christmas before the ensiling and delivery of theses presents the receipt thereof the said William F. Strudwick doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained and sold by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell to the said Nathaniel Christmas his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Orange on the waters of Little Cain Creek. Beginning at a Post Oak on Charles Christmas' line running south 27 east 19 1/2 chains to a Post on Durham's corner thence with his line west 20 1/2 chains to a Spanish Oak thence south 5 chains to a Red Oak on a branch thence up the meanders thereof north 35 west 32 1/2 chains to a stake a corner of Charles Christmas' thence with his line east to the beginning containing forty-seven acres and all appurtenances to the same belonging and also the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issue and profits to the said premises and every part thereof and all the right title claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William F. Strudwick of in and to the said premises to have and to hold the said tract and all and singular the premises above mentioned to the said Nathaniel Christmas his heirs and assigns forever and the said William F. Strudwick for himself and is heirs the said tract of land and premises and every part thereof against him and his heirs and the claim or claims of any other person or persons to the said Nathaniel Christmas and his heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend the same by these presents.
