Carrington to Samuel Bumpass September 10, 1830 Orange County Deed Book 24, Page 264 This Indenture made this tenth day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & Thirty between James R. Carrington of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel Bumpass of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred Dollars to him in hand paid before the sealing & delivering of these presents by the said Samuel Bumpass the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted, bargained, sold & delivered unto the said Samuel Bumpass his heirs & assigns forever A Certain Tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County & State aforesaid Beginning at a white oak on Mountain Creek thence down the Creek South to Leathers land, thence West along Leathers & Bumpass's line to a Stake, Wm Cains land, thence North to a Stake, John Wilsons line, thence East to the beginning and Containing One hundred & thirteen acres be the same more or less To Have & To Hold the aforesaid land & premises with all & Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Samuel Bumpass his heirs & assigns forever and the aforesaid James R.
