David Dickie to John Reding

David Dickie to John Reding
This Indenture made this fifteenth day of August One thousand Eight hundred
& Seven Between David Dickey of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina of
the
one part & John Reding of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth
for
and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred dollars to me in hand paid the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said David Dickie hath sold unto the
said John Reding a tract or parcel of Land being and lying in the County & State
aforesaid Containing by estimation One hundred acres be the same more or less
bounded on the North by Joseph Ray on the East by David Woods on the South
by William Woods on the west by James Wilkison it being part of a tract of Land
Conveyed by Nancy Benton Executor of Jesse Benton deceased and Joseph Taylor
to said Dickey by Deed bearing date the 19 day of April 1799 Now this Indenture
Witnesseth that the said David Dickey for and in consideration of the Sum
aforesaid hath granted bargained & Sold confirmed and released and by these
presents do bargain sell release and confirm to the said John Reding his heirs &
assigns all the right title & Interest of the aforesaid parcel of Land & premises
free
and clear of any right claim or Interest whatever to the said John Reding his heirs
and assigns aforesaid to have and to hold the said Land & premises free and clear
from the claim of him the said Dickie his heirs or assigns or any other person or
persons
claiming the same and the claim will forever warrant and defend to the said John
Reding his heirs & assigns forever In witness whereof I have unto set my hand
and affixed my Seal the day and year above written -           Dd Dickie (LS)
& delivered in presence of                      Orange County August Term 1810
David Woods                       The Execution of the foregoing Deed was duly
proved in
Francis Dickie                    open court by Oath of David Wood a subscribing
witness
