All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 12, 2009, 9:49 pm Written: December 28, 1832 Recorded: February 1856 Orange County, North Carolina Deeds, Book 35, Page 1, 2 Dollar to Dollar This Indenture made the 28 day of December 1832 in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty Two between James Dollar of Jonathan of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina of the one part and Jonathan Dollar Junr of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consider- -ation of the sum of Six hundred and thirty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Jonathan Dollar at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said James Dollar doth hereby acknowledge he hath given granted bargain sell and convey unto the said Jonathan Dollar his heirs of a certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid adjoining the lands of Willia- -m Dilliard Decd and others and bounded as follows To wit-begining at a Small Hickory at a former corner black oak on said Dilliards line thence North one hundred and twenty eight poles to a post oak sapling thence west two hundred and sixty two poles to a hickory thence South Sixty eight poles to pointers on an old line thence east to the begining containing two hundred and ten acres more or less To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances to the said Jonathan Dollar his heirs and assigns forever & to his and their only proper use and behoof forever and the said James Dollar for himself his heirs Executors administrators [?] doth covenant to and with the said Jonathan Dollar his heirs and assigns in manner following to wit. that is to say in fee simple and that said Jonathan Dollar his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter have hold possess and enjoy the said granted and bargained premises and every part thereof quietly and peaceably without the least hindrance or interuptions of any person or persons whatsoever and the said granted and bargained premises and every part thereof to the sd Jonathan Dollar his heirs and assigns the sd James Dollar his heirs [?] shall and Will Warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof the said James Dollar hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of Sterling [?] James Dollar (seal) Hampton W Dollar Orange County Court February Term 1856 The Execution of the foregoing Deed was duly proved in Open Court by the oath of Hampton W Dollar one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Registered Test Geo Laws CCC File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/orange/deeds/dollar535gdd.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 3.3 Kb
