James, Mary, William & Tempy Dollar to Joseph White

This Indenture made this 2nd day of August A.D. 1824 Between
James Dollar & Molly his wife, William Cole & Nancy Cole his wife
William Hitchcock & Elizabeth Hitchcock his wife, William Dollar &
Tempy Dollar his wife Absolom Hunt & Patsy Hunt his wife, Milly
White & William White of the one part & Joseph White of the other
part Witnesseth - Whereas Joseph White late of Orange County
Died on or about the 10th of April A.D. 1824 Intestate leaving eight
Children his heirs at Law ,To wit, Six Daughters & Two sons namely
Molly intermarried with James Dollar, Nancy intermarried with William
Cole, Elizabeth intermarried with William Hitchcock, Tempy
intermarried with William Dollar, Patsey intermarried with Absolom
Hunt, Milly White, William White, & Joseph White - And whereas
the said Joseph White Died seized & possessed of a Tract of Land Contai
=ning Three Hundred Acres more or less lying & being on the Waters of
New Hope in the County of Orange & State of North Carolina & having
settled his son Joseph White on the said Tract of Land & always ex
=pressing himself he intended the said Tract for the said Joseph
White his Son. Now this Indenture further witnesseth that
for & in consideration of the p[?] & the further consideration of the sum
of [Five] Shillings to us the undersigned Heirs in hand paid by the said Joseph
White the receipt whereof We do hereby acknowledge have for [?] & each
of our Heirs respectively Bargained, sold, released, & Relinquished and do
by these presents bargain, sell, release & relinquish our undivided share or
[?] of the before mentioned Tract of Land & premises & any part thereof
lying & being in the County aforesaid & State of North Carolina unto the
said Joseph White his heirs & assigns in Fee Simple & forever In testimony
of which we have hereunto set our hands & affixed our Seals the day & Year

                                    This day came James Dollar & Mary Dollar
his wife, & Nancy Cole Wife of William Cole three of Bargainers mentioned in the
Deed
on the other half of this sheet of paper before me William Norwood one of the
Judges of the Superior Courts of Law & Equity of this state & acknowledged the
Execution of the said Deed, and the said Mary Dollar & Nancy Cole being priva
=tely examined by me Separate & apart from their husbands declared that they
have Executed the said Deed freely, voluntarily & of their own Will without any
threat, force or Coertion of their husbands - Ordered that the said Deed be
Registered 11th day of December 1827 -
