26 Feb. 1788 -- JOHN ELLIOT of North Carolina to JAMES MCBRIDE of Orange for 
300 pounds (acreage not given) on South side of Great Allamance, adjoining
GEORGE FRIEDLLE, CONRAD PILE and Mr. MCCULLOCH, granted JOHN ELLIOT 6 Oct. 
1787. Beginning at a stake on the side of Allamance, S49 chs. to a black oak, 
E 38 chs. to a post oak, N48 chs. to a stake on side of Alllamance meanders to 
first station. (Signed) JOHN ELLIOT. Witness: JOHN MCBRIDE, WILLIAM ELLIOT.
