This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Harold Forsythe lilbitvett2@aol.com ========================================================================= Thomas Reabon to William Forsyth This indenture made the sixth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three Between Thomas Reabon of the county of Burke and the state of North Carolina, planter, of the one part and William Forsyth of Orange County and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Reabon in behalf of his son John Reabon deceased for and the consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said William Forsyth the receipt where of he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William Forsyth his heirs and assigns a tract of land situate laying(?) and being in the said county County of Orange and state aforesaid in St. Thomas district. Beginning at a spanish oak Nevels line then North 221 poles to a hicory Hagwoods line west 320 poles to BJ (black jack) south 320 poles to a black jack East 307 poles to hickory on Nevels line thence North a long his line ninety nine poles to his corner stake East thirteen poles in all to beginning. Containing in the whole Six hundred and thirty one and three quarters acres be the same more or less as by deed from the state to the said Thomas Reabon in behalf of his son John Reabon deceased Will more fully appear the revision and revisions remainder and remainders rents specie and profits of in and to the said premises and every part and parcel there of and all the Estate Eight title Interest Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Reabon of in and to the said tract or parcel of land and premises and every part there of to have and hold the same and every part there of and all and singular other the premises with the appurtinances to the said William Forsyth his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William Forsyth his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Reabon in behalf of his son John Reabon deceased for himself and those heirs and all others claiming or hereafter to claim from by or under any of them to the said William Forsyth his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness where of the said Thomas Reabon hath here unto set his hand and seal the year and day first above written Signed sealed and delivered Thomas (x) Reabon in the presence of us his mark (signed) William McCauley Catherine (x) McCauley her mark Transcribed from the original document: Deed Book 5 Pg 739 by Harold l Forsythe 12 March 2001
