                       William Forsyth to James Forsyth

Know all men by these presents that I William Forsyth 0f the state of North 
Carolina & Orange County have this day for and in consideration of the sum of 
twenty nine pounds ten shillings to me in hand paid together with the good 
will and affection that I have borne and do still bear for my son James 
Forsyth of the county and state aforesaid have given granted and do by these 
presentsfreely give and grant unto him all that part of my land on the south 
side of Nevills Creek on a line to be run due west from the fork of the maple 
branch and said Creek to Peter Willis,s line the receipt hereof witnesseth 
that I the said William Forsyth do bind myself my heirs executors and assigns 
to warrant and defend the right and title of said land unto the aforesaid 
James Forsyth his heirs executoers & In Testimony where of I have set my hand 
& Seal in presence of
July 10th 1809                                (signed) William Forsyth
Benjamin Yeargain[sic]
                                    I James Forsyth agree that if ever my 
father or Brothers should want timber for building houses or anything of that 
kind for their own use, they are at liberty to cut and take off of the above 
tract given to me by my father

                               Orange County August term 1809 the execution of 
the foregoing deed of gift was duly approved in open court by the oath of 
Benjamin Yeargin a subscribing witness thereto &ordered to be registered
