Geer to Geer

This Indenture made the 12th day of August in the year of Christ Seventeen 
hundred & Sixty nine by & between John Geer & his son David Geer both of the 
County of Orange & Province of North Carolina, this Indenture Witnesseth that 
I John Geer out of the Natural love & affection that he (sic) hath for his Son 
David Geer give unto him a certain Negro Boy Named Abram four head of Cattle & 
John Hendersons Bond of fifteen Pounds to him his heirs & assigns forever To 
Have & to hold the said Negro & Cattle & bond from any person or persons 
whatsoever laying Title or Claim thereunto, whereunto I interchangeably set my 
hand & affix my Seal the day & date above written
Signed Sealed 7 delivered in the presence        
of Michael Dent                                his

          The execution of the within deed was proved before me this 2nd day 
of October 1769 by the Oath of Michael Dent Let it be recorded, M Moore
